Real Luck Group Inks Partnership with Peru eSports Team

Just this week, the prominent provider of esports and sports betting, and casino games, Real Luck Group announced that it has expanded its operations in Latin America. The company and its subsidiaries such as Luckbox will now sponsor Peru’s leading esports team, Thunder Awaken. This deal builds on its recent player acquisition debut in Brazil.

Luckbox is an award-winning betting firm that provides legal, real-money wagering, live streams, and statistics on all major esports and sports events. It boasts a B2C platform, which leverages shared technology, data, and resources, and it offers a wide selection of betting options for esports tournaments on leading esports titles such as CS: GO, Dota 2, LoL, and others.

Expanding in Latin America

The sponsorship with the esports team is an important achievement for the company’s exposure in Latin America, as most players discover their betting platform from teams and influencers. Thunder Awaken is Peru’s largest professional team with a loyal and expanding fanbase of over 16 million supporters across their full network.

Also, the agreement will provide massive marketing benefits, which will enable effective local reach to a highly engaged community across both esports and regular sporting occasions. The esports team competes in Dota 2 at The International 11, which is one of the largest esports events across the industry, and an event which saw a 37% YOY growth in 2021, with 2.7 million unique viewers.

Real Luck Group, Director of Marketing, Daniel Sanders commented that Peru is an important marketplace for the company. In his words, the jurisdiction has a major interest in esports, and the partnership gives Luckbox exposure to 16 million Thunder Awaken channels via the Dota 2 International 11 competition. He also said that in the upcoming months, the company will share more of its plans to expand on the continent.

In October, Brazil experienced a substantial increase in player registrations, traffic, and deposits for the Luckbox platform. And this latest partnership with the esports organization is the betting brand’s first major above-the-line marketing initiative in Latin America for esports and comes with significant branding and a country-wide integrated approach in Peru.

Q1 Results and More

Based in Alberta, in the summer Real Luck Group published its financial statistics and highlights for the first quarter of 2022, which ended on March 31, 2022. For Q1 the company added 400 new games to its offerings as well as reporting CA$12.5 million of cash and no debt. The company identified CA$0.5 million of annualized savings, which will be reinvested into its business including its player acquisition efforts for 2022.

In December 2021, the esports and sports betting firm launched its first online casino options to its offerings. CEO of Luckbox, Thomas Rosander, commented the launch of the online casino is the most substantial and first major milestone for the company’s expansion of online products. Its aim is to take advantage of the expanding iGaming market and participate in it.
